Despite being told by residents that this budget was not fit for purpose, the Conservatives on the Council voted it through.

Labour proposed a series of positive additions to the budget, including to keep open our museums, to keep our libraries up and running and to keep open the children’s centres set for closure.

Unfortunately, the Conservatives voted against all of these plans.
