Labour selects local Lee Polshaw

A by-election has been called in Penkhull and Stoke to choose a new Councillor on July 1st. Labour has chosen Lee Polshaw, of Princes Road, to fight the election.

As a local resident, Lee understands the concerns in the area. If elected, she will use her voice in the Council chamber to stand up for the residents of Penkhull and Stoke who have been dealing with issues such as dangerous roads and the dreadful smell from the landfill for too long.

“Living in the area means I have a real understanding of the things that really matter to people. Key issues affecting us at the moment include the smell from the landfill site in Silverdale and on the doorstep a lot of residents are raising concerns that they just do not feel safe like they used to.

“Parking can also be an issue and it is these types of issues I will make my priorities should my neighbours select me as their new councillor for the area.

“I am very proud to live in Penkhull, an area I really love and as I live here I really want the very best for the area”.
